The h2g2 Poem

1 Conversation

My friend, I am here

You have been my friend for over a year

And to me you have become dear

You say you will join the forces

And I can't seem to find other courses

My friend I will not stay in your way

Oh no not this day

Unless you ask me to

And then I will for you

I would write to you every week

And your guidance seek

About a rhyme or two

To stop others forgetting you

You must promise to keep the things you know to be true

Otherwise your conscience will make you blue

Please do this, I beg, I implore

I grovel here upon the floor

Remember if you don't make it

Or you really can't take it

I will be here for you

And will help you through

Me you can always come see

And I will keep you company

Listen to your thoughts

And not always give a witty retort

My friend I will never forget

The day we two met

On an old train station

Don't forget your past when in formation

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
