The jerk who sells his marriage out for lust
And lies so that it will not blow apart
Has played a game whereby he keeps the trust
Of his good wife but takes to bed a tart
Yet who ignores the pain caused by this act
Must risk the chance of what may happen next
A knife between the ribs might be the fact
Or children murdered by the one who's vexed
The tryst a cheating wife has with her date
Brings sorrows on like vultures to a kill
For there's no knowing what will spring from hate
When lies discovered fester as they will
So marriages divested of their vows
Are left to rot like carrion for the crows
