The Celery-Webjello Press Conference Party, Dance, and Formal Dinner was a major social event this past week, with luminaries from all over h2g2 turning out in their finest high fashion to eat, drink, dance, and mingle at l'Hotel Chrome.

The paparazzi came out in force to catch a glimpse of these stars and were not disappointed. The Post's Society Page is happy to be able to bring you a peek at what people were wearing, along with some highlights of the event.

Note: Some of the guests showed off more than one fashion design over the course of the event, in which case the outfits are listed in the order of appearance.

Loonytunes: (#1): Morning suit made from New Zealand ankara cashmere. This dark suit features red pin stripes. His tie, an official NZ All Black one, awarded to Loony after the memorable match against Australia when he scored the winning touch-down, features small silver pictures of rugby balls. The outfit is topped off with a red and white fedora hat. (#2): A charcoal, immaculately-cut, calf-skin suit, featuring a white rose in the lapel. (#3): Cool-blue suede lounge-lizard suit.

Sporkulious Eglon: Smashing burgundy and violet suit.

Redbeard: Black tie and tails, with a black highly polished cane.

Titania: A sleeveless gown, leaving shoulders bare, upper part figure-fitting, voluminous skirts, colour blue like clear summer sky, looks like velvet, but with an elvish glimmering, only piece of jewelry a pale blue pearl in silver chain around her neck.

ShazzPRME: A tight-fitting, low-cut taffeta dress which starts as
palest blue on the bodice and graduates down to the deepest purple just
above her shapely ankles. She is sporting a glittering, jewel-encrusted
necklace and shoes of midnight blue which appear impossibly high.

Alien: Black evening gown.

Witty Moniker: (#1): A floor length backless satin sheath with
just the right amount of decolletage. The colour defies accurate description,
but it approaches a soft grayish green with a hint of luster. Her only jewelry
is a small and tasteful tiara. (#2): Cap sleeved hostess
pajamas made from the same soft grayish green satin with a hint of luster
of which her evening gown consisted. Her tiara has relocated to become
cuff placed midway on her upper arm. She's barefoot.

Asteroid Lil: (#1): Simple Black Dress by Dior, sheer black stockings with
seams, black Manolo Blahnik shoes consisting of tall heels and thinnest
straps, and antique jewelry of topaz and moonstones. (#2): A comfortable but stylish palazzo-style celadon crepe ensemble of wide-hemmed trousers and a top with three-quarter
sleeves and a low neckline, around her neck a simple 1-carat white
diamond on a gold chain. (#3): A midnight blue silk sari with shot silver embroidery in a
band a foot wide at the end and all along the edges. She wears no jewelry.

Chrome101: Black dinner suit and bow tie.

Garius Lupus: His knighthood ceremonial outfit, designed by Lil. It
consists of a grey 19th century suit with blue silk cravat, top hat and 4-layer
cloak. He also carries an ebony walking stick with gold wolfs head top.

Ox: (#1): Crisp black tuxedo with tails,
ribbed white formal shirt with huge pearl cufflinks, black cummerbund and
cravat with pearl and diamond stickpin. The red and orange silk turban
studded with a variety of jewels seems to make ox very tall and
distinguished. Fine black patent leather evening shoes complete the
ensemble. (#2): A casual grey
linen suit, pale grey raw silk shirt, black velvet slippers and a red fez

Styx the Rat: Backpack from elf lady. Asteroid Lil brushed him and he is
gleaming and clean and sleek, red eyes glowing. Shiny studs on Odradek
collar.

Odradek: (#1): Clad elegantly in a simple, sheer, thin-strapped white silk sheath
dress, a slit at the side, open back with thin white silk straps across the
back, on the whole looking very Audrey-Hepburn-esque. Her hair is spiked,
yes, but her wispy bangs frame her face elegantly, and small diamonds are
scattered throughout her hair. She wears elbow-length white gloves, strappy
silver heels, a tasteful diamond pendant and matching bracelet. (#2): A simple ivory-colored caftan. (#3) A very short, metallic-looking copper rain slicker.
Slips out of it to reveal an equally short, equally metallic-looking copper
sheath dress, two copper bands on either wrist, and one anklet. Her shoes
are copper high-topped sneakers, but have a certain elegance.

Afgncaap5: A fancy looking cloak, colored blue with astrological symbols etched on it
with various precious stones.

Gagdreek: (#1): A Green Tux and a black tie. (#2): A navy blue tuxedo and a
bright green tie.

The Jedi Knight: Black suit, Dilbert tie, Ray-Bans, and
deadpan-but-stern facial expression. In short, he looks like an MIB.

Superluminary Fruitloop: (#1): A dapper red satin smoking jacket and black slacks, bubble
pipe in mouth, accordion strapped to back. (#2): Dapper red
smoking jacket, opened this time though, revealing suspenders holding up
black slacks, and a fine ruffled dress shirt, and black bow tie

The Big C: A black suit coat, white shirt, very stylish
red tie, and black trousers of the finest kind. His shoes shine brilliantly, and
the GalaGroup Emblem is firmly placed on his shirt's chest pocket.

Eomando: A long, slinky, silk red dress

Amy the Ant: A grass-green silk sheath dress with dragonflies
embroidered at the hem. Around her neck is a heavy gold torc of ornate
design set with a very large roughly-cut emerald.

Peregrin: Blue and yellow flowery Bermuda shorts, odd socks,
sandals over the socks, a faded mock leather belt, a sporran, a green and
blue checked shirt with only one sleeve, a REAL black bow tie, a peaked cap claiming 'Elvis is
Alive!', cracked sunglasses, and a lot of sand.

Kristina the Flamenco Dancer: A black dress with long, tight sleeves, tight-fitting body,
voluminous skirts, bright red hand-embroidered silk shawl with long fringes artistically draped
around body, bright red flowers in her tied-back hair, red 'zapatos de baile' Flamenco dancing shoes.

Wumbeevil: A kilt and a little off the shoulder gold lamé number.

Demon Drawer: A Calvin Klein black high necked dinner jacket with a
MacIntosh kilt to set it off. A green cummerbund and matching bow tie. A full collection of Swatch watches.

Joanna: A long, silky-satiny Goo-Blue
dress, which shimmers as she walks. She is also wearing dozens of silver
bangles and a simple silver band in her hair.

Cheezdanish: A purple gown of satin so thin
it could serve as the stuff of a nightgown, with a low back and thin straps. A
single diamond pin flashes on her shoulder. It is her only piece of jewelry.

jr52: Regley tux, black tie, patent leathers, etc. only deviations from norm
being Marvin the Martian cummerbund and socks.

Kumabear: His fur, a gold watch, sunglasses and a red
bow-tie, plus a strikingly well-crafted and
distinguished-looking olive colored smoking jacket, delicately embroidered
with black and gold designs, and sporting gold cufflinks that resembles
various, and tasty freshwater fish.

Phil: A classic cut single breasted black dinner suit, black
cummerbund and bow tie.

The Masque of the Red Herring: A black, Victorian-Era Tuxedo with a red carnation
over his left breast. He has a white handkerchief in his right breast pocket,
and his mask has been polished for the occasion.

Bluebottle: Nothing but a blue tie, tied around his middle.

Mazroj: A long pointed hat and robes.

Fashion Cat: A long emerald green evening dress.

Cthulu: A white bonds singlet, woven from the
whiskers of the magnificent (but sadly extinct) Sarglebeast. His thongs were
painstakingly hand made from the finest in DNA reconstructed tasmanian
tiger skin, with matching electric blue stubbies made from recycled gum
leaves. A black tie is dangling from his wrist.

Gw7en: A lovely hunter green dress. The
dress itself is a silk column dress, falling straight from an empire waist to
touch the top of her shoes - dyed to match of course. Over the dress is a
velvet duster, which stops two inches above the bottom of the dress and has
slits up the side to make it easy to walk in. Also wearing
a simple emerald necklace and earing set to compliment the green of the
dress.

God Almighty: Wandered in looking disheveled.

Mrgrunt: Resplendent
in his finest white suit from when he was deaded, along with cummerbund
and bow tie.

Wowbagger: White sports coat and pink carnation still being
used in an earlier Dean Martin impersonation a number of forums ago.
