The h2g2 Poem

0 Conversations

A river runs through it

Birth of a River

I dreamed of falling, freezing, blowing

Clear and cold

Then sudden impact, sinking, soaking

Soft and slow.

I tasted minerals, dissolving, rusting

Sweet and sharp

Then dripped through cracks, constricting, crushing

Deep and dark.

I felt an increase, swelling, flowing

Lunge and leap

Then plunging quicker, trickling, gushing

Fast and fleet.

I reached for freedom, surging, rising

Up and out

Then broke from darkness, babbling, laughing

Splash and shout.
