'Spider-Man started off as shy high school student Peter Parker (Maguire), until he was bitten by a genetically- altered spider, giving him amazing abilities. Over time, he learns that with great power, comes great responsibility. First, there is his foray into entertainment, taking on wrestler Bone Saw McGraw (Savage). A horrible incident involving his Uncle Ben (Robertson) soon changes his perception of his powers, and he becomes a superhero. His abilities are soon challenged, when scientist Norman Osborn (Dafoe) is altered himself in an experiment gone wrong, becoming the... Green Goblin, pumpkin bombs, glider, and all." (I love stealing from Greg Dean Schmitz of upcomingmovies.com. He makes my job so easy!)

Personally I loved it. And by loving it, what I mean to say is this: It wasn't the greatest cinematic achievement ever made by filmmakers (No, that would be Star Wars: A New Hope). No, no definitely not that. It was just a good, playful romp. Toby Maguire was great as Peter Parker — he played a very convincing young, shy geek. I fell absolutely in love with his character. The way he played it was just... Believeable. But seeing him on the Oscars, and watching interviews, he (meaning Mcguire) seems like that sort of guy. The shy, quiet type who live off in their own little world in the background. Personally I've always admired these people; it would take a lot of courage to be off by yourself so much. (So typically I befriend these types. But that's off-topic, so /anyway/.)

All in all it's quite a fun film; the fight scenes were good, not spectacular, but good. The special effects were also good. Not, as I said, spectacular, but good. And the dialogue was all right. Not spectacular, but all right. And that's all right by me.

It's all right by other people as well, apparently.

Teenagers ran after each other in the aisles pretending to shoot webs at each other and make 'Gak, gak' sorts of noises. It was greatly amusing.

'That movie smiley - bleeping rocked, man!'
one youth was heard shouting as the credits began to roll.
'They should have had Gwen Stacy instead of MJ. I hate MJ'

Gw7en.
'I like Kirsten Dunst /and/ MJ...'

Scoot.
'Kirsten Dunst is kewl. MJ was a smiley - bleep.'

Gw7en.

'The surgery is sceduled shortly after our arrival at Pearl. Once the surgery is complete, my name will be changed to Margaret Young. Please use this name in all official and unofficial dealings with me. That you all for your support.'

Mike.

Oh wait, that wasn't a quote... smiley - huh Anyway!

Spider-Man has earned itself five out of five smiley - sheep. Yay for it. (See, here they are. Count them, they are lined up prettily in a row - smiley - sheepsmiley - sheepsmiley - sheepsmiley - sheepsmiley - sheep )
