It all started innocently enough with a trip to the half-finished housing estate. Cactuscafe reported, 'There's this village near Exeter with new builds, surrounded by marshland, birdwatching Exe estuary country. The RSPB protect a lot of the land, they're the bird people, haha, The Bird People.

However the new build is on the edge of Birdland, and all the houses have bird names, The Wren, The Linnet, The Kingfisher. ' Naturally enough, they wanted to view the Kingfisher.

'The lady says it isn't built yet, but we could view the Detached Four Bedroom Goldfinch.'

This led to the following joint vision of an avian highrise, complete with mod cons and annoying neighbours.
