Chipmunk in Action
Chippy the chipmunk has a big walnut. All autumn, we cheered as the squirrels and chipmunks removed those pesky nuts from our yard. They're a hazard to shipping, and the rodents can use the food. We only complain when the squirrels bury them in our yard. They tend to forget where they put them, and then we have baby walnut trees. Do.Not.Want.
I was lucky to manage a shot of Chippy here: she – definitely a she, she's a mom – moves way too fast. So I'm kind of proud of myself for catching her in action.
He moves with flickering indecision
