6. Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again. Rebecca, by Daphne Du Maurier.
7. I write this sitting in the kitchen sink. I Capture the Castle, by Dodie Smith.
8. It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn’t know what I was doing in New York. The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath.
