Lone Flower Growing Happily Without Any Encouragement by DG

Leave it alone, and it will grow

All by itself, don't you know.

Nature doesn't need us folk

With our garden forks to fuss and poke.

It's been around a lot longer than we,

And will probably outlast our brief, sad spree.

Sure, plants use animals. Birds, mammals, bees

Can fit right into their strategies.

That's why flowers smell good, and fruits have taste

That make you eat and excrete the waste

And plant the seeds somewheres else. They're clever,

Those plants, and they'll probably live forever.

So don't get so full of yourself. Your spade

Is just a tool of the plant world's trade.
