Too snowy to go to the mailbox.

It's time to sing carols. Do you know this one from Appalachia? It's called 'I Wonder as I Wonder', and it has an interesting story. In 1933, folklorist John Jacob Niles was in the small town of Murphy, North Carolina. He paid a young girl name Annie Morgan twenty-five cents a performance to sing the three lines of this folk song that she knew until the musician had memorised it. He composed the rest of it. Most people think of the song as a folk song, but in reality, it's a collaboration between the past and the present.
