Where To Begin...
I recently ran out of new reading material in my personal library and haven't managed to make a trip to the public library so I once again picked up my "Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide" Since first reading Adams' illustrious tome some sixteen years ago I've found that regardless of how many times I peruse its pages I find satisfaction in doing so. In my personal quest for "The Meaning," The Guide has provided unilateral insight and, go figure, guidance. Because I have had a difficult time coming across fellow Guide devotees, I began poking around the internet to find like-minded individuals; hence I have found myself at H2G2.
Now, about myself. I'm rapidly approaching my third decade of existence, have started a family. My fiancee and I have a lovely daughter Ella and two dogs. Her dog, Noodle is a Welsh Corgi and mine is a mutt named Guinness. Although I am a huge fan of Sir Arthur's creation, I did not name my mutt; he came with the name from an animal rescue league. It would appear that the two of us were meant to come together. Stick that in your Infinite Improbabilty Drive.
I've adopted the Hitchhiker mentality in several aspects of my life, not just geographically. In my time I've been a firefigher, EMT, college student (twice), a certified SCUBA diver, reader, writer, thinker, photographer, computer nerd, coffee slinger (and manager) at Starbucks, car salesman, mechanic, welder, carpenter, plumber, am currently in business managment and accounting, production assistant for a campus studio, gamer, reveler, brother, son, father, etc. etc. The point is that I'm constantly searching for new things to learn and experience. I have an extremely low threshold for boredom.
My drive for all things new has also moved me geographically. I grew up in Southern New York (the state, not the city), moved to Michigan for a while, spend four years in Hawaii and have since moved back to Michigan. I'm now awaiting an attractive job opportunity before I move again.
So that's about it in a nutshell.
