Im Weg, This is me. Im a Jazz guitarist in the UK. I would like to begin this page with a tribute to all the famous people it has been my priviledge tp play with...
Right errr....
so ok, they're a little few and far between at the moment, but hey, Im 20. My time will come.
Looks like its time for some more time spent composing (mostly decomposing). :-(
Ok, time for a little history... I live near Norwich in England, which has a rather ... intermitent employment scene for Musicians. So I upped and removed myself to the big city, and spent a year studdying at the Guitar Institute, London. Had a great time and learned alot. Will be going back to finish my degree some time soon.
For now, it has come to my attention, that the longer you play, the more you develop, the more you learn from the things you experience. So Im taking the stuff from my first year (loads of scales and arpeggios and a whole bunch of ideas) and Im putting them to use in my local situation, so I can really drum it all in, before I go back to college.
Im a big fan of music in general and Im not your stereotype guitarist. By that, I mean that I am a musician, who happens to play guitar. There is alot of stigma attached to guitarists. As a general rule, the guys I play with are far from this long haired, dope heads, or the irresistable sex symbols of classic rock. But we cant all be perfect... ;-)
