Burlington, more and less
Hello there. Whatever your reason is for reading this, thank you for taking the time.
Maybe I should have started writing for the guide before I settled down. I am, for the first time, experiencing a life lived in one place for more than a year. I have cardboard boxes that have outlived 4 leases and the dormitory housing at Florida Atlantic University. The tagline for my life could be "Never a dull moment."
The past year has been amazing. I moved to Vermont from Massachusetts from Florida (where I grew up.) I got a job at a public school working with special needs students. We adopted three cats. I flew to Florida three times, spent New Year's at home in Vermont with a group of old friends from the South. I planned our wedding in Florida from Vermont, became an aunt (that wasn't much my accomplishment but more of a side-effect of someone else's,) got married and honeymooned in Florida, had surgery so I can now breathe through my nose (my dentist is so pleased), lived in Colorado for April (thereby stealing an extra month of Spring,) and plan to begin graduate school in August (after a 5 year hiatus.)
Did it sound boring when I said I'd settled down?
Most of that will probably end up as entries here. I'll document my adventures in Burlington, Vermont and hope I'll have enough fun for both of us.
