Hello. A little bit about myself. I have been a reader and general lurker around on H2G2 for around five years, having stumbled upon the site as so many do, through being a huge fan of Douglas. I have long felt part of the community, even though I did not contribute, as I looked forward to reading the input of familiar names and the cut and thrust of the intelligent and informative discussions (and the pointless and ridiculous ones) as much as I enjoyed the fascinating, educational, often extremely in depth and informative (and often irreverent and hilarious) articles. Indeed I recognised that these were two sides of a coin. (Although this particular coin seems to have more than two...)

After a while I did join in, and for a brief while relished the community spirit, made my own clumsy contributions, made friends, started to use s and was considering writing an Entry, when, unfortunately, a large number of RW problems which I do not intend to bore you with here meant that I had to ‘Elvis’ fairly quickly. I continued to lurk whenever I could, and continued to love H2G2.

Some of those RW problems have gone away, some have not. However I decided it would be a good time to sign up again. Why? I was concerned about the future of something I love and I wanted to keep informed.

I am delighted to hear the news of the new regime and look forward to developments eagerly. I will update this message as soon as inspiration strikes!
