Lily Lightchaser
I am many years now an earth mother, today aged to elder, the living fruit of my womb rising up to raise their own progeny. I write, I dream old dreams and celebrate new days, I dance in starlit dew-kissed grass, but I spin solitary, I close my eyes, I move to an inner music and avoid the distraction of others' dance. Dancing is my meditation.
Yet, I do hear those others.
There be a lot of noise in the world, and wholly I contribute to that splendid cacophony, waiting, when I speak, for that listener who knew me in my ancient skin.
And since that antiquity, I wait to believe.
