Badger the Boring
Besides being married to Bumblebee, my main claim to fame is that I was a member of the first team to implement RFC 1149, "IP over avian carriers". My laptop is to my knowledge the only computer so far to have been ping'ed via carrier pigeon.We were intstantly famous of course - Beeb had a good writeup, as had Salon.com here). London Winter Meet Update

That was before I took off to retrieve a few items from the hotel room. I missed by a few seconds the last Central Line tube from Holborn that night, arriving at the platform what must have been only moments before the Chancery Lane derailment. Managed to get there and back (well, the next pub actually) via a rather roundabout combination of tube, bus, my two feet and finally a taxi.
