Update

My name used to be farawaylady because I am far away from the U.K., but now I am Helga Danielsen. I have been on h2g2 on and off since 2003, which seems a very long time. I even made some friends, which once helped me a lot when I was just a little mad and did not know what to do. That was a wonderful feeling, asking for help on the internet, all alone, and then getting so many loving answers and good ones too.
I am sorry I could not keep talking to them more often.
I am German living in Olinda, Brazil for 50 years and sometimes I get very homesick, for England also, because it was there, in '57 where I met my husband. We lived in Manchester for two and a half years, we loved each other very much there, married there, conceived our first baby there and then we came here. As my 'masterpiece', published on this site describes, my husband was taken away from me and our four children very suddenly, unexpectedly, in '79.
I have always worked here in this country, in hotels teaching English and German, in a language school and for the last 29 years at a studfarm as translator. I am still working there. What is taking all my time is driving through crazy traffic for two hours at the end of the day. Time I could surely use for better things, like trying to write another masterpiece.
