Country Life
As a recently displaced city-folk, I am now stuck in a desolate hole filled with green grass, tall trees, breath-taking mountains and cute, furry, animals. I can't stand it. I used to work in distribution of musical instruments, hanging out with famous drummers and actual musicians. I've had pleasant post-show chats with the likes of Nazareth & Procol Harum. Now that I'm temporarily un-employed, I was sent to an area in Quebec, Canada to spend some time away from the big city lights. "You'll feel better," they said. "That Country Life will be great for you..." Lies!!!
Maybe it's great for them, everything is relative, mind you. If they like insects the size of squirrels, fine. If they don't mind hearing moo-cows, sheep and chickens make an infernal racket 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, fantastic. But I can't sleep anymore! There are no ambulances, no police sirens, no motorcycles breaking the sound barrier, no gunshots...Just birds! Luckily, the guide is here. If it wasn't for those two comforting words written in large, friendly letters, I might have gone mad. Or have I? Only time will tell.
On the plus side, there is tons of things here to make entries about.I guess I'd better get cracking. I might find a way to quiet down those cows...
