The h2g2 Poem

Hedgehog Crossing

I am a hedgehog crossing.

I boldly mark the way

In case a hedgehog outing

Should want to cross one day.

A few small problems with this

One, hedgehog's never read

And so they're rather out of luck

When faced with motor speed.

Two, drivers do not want to slow

'Watch out beware'

The signs strikingly all warn

That hedgehogs cross without a care.

And so the plans are put away

For spending all the taxpay dosh

On hedgehog crossings is a waste,

When results are always hedgehog squash.
