They floated the dollar
they floated the yen
and the price of gold
was set by five men.
Invest your funds and the trouble begins.
See the carnival barkers and the ci5rcus clowns
the duck in detergent is floundering around
Would gold float on mercury if it ever tried?
would petro-dollars paper the skies...
The banking stocks are dropping low
When they hit bottom who will know
there's stock analysts playing blind man's bluff
None of them knows when he's had enough

the profit markets are getting tight
