A Domed Puzzle

A repurposed auditorium.

They meant it to be the town's crowning glory back in 1915: a suitably elegant auditorium. But construction took longer than anticipated, and cost overruns made the domed wonder more and more expensive… The auditorium has been used for fairs, meetings, theatrical productions, even as a courthouse. During World War II, it hosted the manufacture of radar tubes. Later, it became a machine shop. So here it is: monument to a dream unrealised, captured at l'heure bleue.
