Emergency Poem 2

They say that into every life a little rain must fall.
But to my mind,
on evenings like tonight,
someone else can have it all.
It's freezing and it's sleeting,
and the roads are like a bowling lane.
The wife's at work 'til ten,
and I worry about what will happen then.
They told us once upon a time
that soon we would have weather satellites
to change this and warn us about that.
They dreamed of terra-forming other planets,
with gasses and dirt and whatever the cow shat.
But tonight, I want it all and I want it now,
with those responsible for holding it back,
standing out in this weather in their briefs,
and How!
