The first flush of dawn...

It's quiet here in cyber wotsit! There are some very flash pages out there - all a bit daunting for a newbie. Hmm, this may take some time...

Yes, I think this cavalry twill carpet will look good here in the gazebo. Crumpets anyone?

I've only been here for a brief while, but like what I see.

Me? Okay!

Born - yes, married - definitely, died - give me time, I'm sure I'll get there yet. Inhabitant of Earth since 1956, resident currently in the urban 'village' of Stockton Heath, Warrington. Working at the cutting edge of technology (hollow laughter), surviving (just) two teenage daughters. (NB why do they listen to such odd music - must investigate further.) (Big up number one daughter)

First love, a wife who teaches in a local school. This occupation leaves not a great deal of time for our shared interests, but when I can I walk (up mountains for preference), garden, cycle, take photos.

Schooldays

To the normal teenage insecurity was added another. My home town moved during the night, leaving no forwarding address. No longer Lancastrian - a historic and venerable label - I was now Cumbrian. Home to Stan Laurel for a time, Ulverston was also my birthplace and childhood home. Dale Street, Croftlands, UVHS1 - my school history in a nutshell.

1Ulverston Victoria High School - boring when you know!
