Ello! My real name is Dave and I'm a 21yr old human from England, though I am most definately Welsh (and have always had a problem spelling definately, i think?!?), mainly because the English are so hateable and I have a choice due to Parentage.
I try to be a cheerful chap and have been told i have a nice smile. Am at university, in Essex, studying Sociology in my spare time, and making friends and having fun most of it. I love music, no two ways about it, anything if its good. Generally i hate anything that's popular; am very partial to music that makes you think and feel. Also heavily into books - especially William Burroughs and Jeff Noon - strong psychedelic imagery.
Have spent most of my life blagging the responsibilities, i.e. education and stuff. Have always managed to do well despite little effort which is quite nice! Have always hung round with lots of people, except for a year at the age of 18 most of which was spent with just one, and have always had a penchant for getting inebreiated with others and experimentation with interesting substances - of the nice kind. I like to be social and to be happy. I like to learn and meet new people.
Last February ('99)I found out I had cancer (Hodgkin's Disease) which I fought off, but i found out it returned 3 weeks ago (May '00). I am scared this time, at times very, very scared. I have completely changed my lifestyle in the fear of potentially fatal infections when i'm in hospital for high dose chemo later this year ( causes one very damaged immune sytem). I.e. no more smoking the reefer, no more alchohol, no more fags, none of the others, in fact nothing at all. A committed hedonist for most of my life up until now I've become confused as to the purpose of it all. Don't want a job or career - especially as I know I probably haven't got that long, no point trying to build up a pension is there?
So what am to do with my life? Have fun, experience people, places and ideas, be nice to people, try and do good things and be happy and positive. Y'know, it's really all quite simple when you think about it all and strip away the bullshit.
