Hiding

2000

Every word you utter you use to bruise me.

Every look scars my soul.

Every motion you make makes me quiver,

Does my misery show?

I hide away in the deepest recesses of my mind,

Where you have no key to roam.

I make all thought disappear into empty,

So Fear never finds me alone.

Hiding is all I can do,

Scurry away from life,

Creep away into shadow,

Hiding - from you.
