The h2g2 Poem

Why is it so hard to lose a friend?

Why is it so hard to lose a friend?

I mean, the world isn't going to end.

Yet I'm sad and I cry,

And I wish I could try

To stop him from drifting away;

But there's nothing that I could say.

So I'm seeking distraction

In some manic action

Like ACEing and writing these rhymes,

And waiting for better times

When the pain will be gone

And the mourning been done.

And I know that will be my end.

So can you reply

When I ask you why

It's so hard to lose a friend?
