The h2g2 Poem

1 Conversation

When Juliet Slips...

I found you in verse and rhyme

In sound of music of bells that chime.

When the first drops of dew fall,

Sleepy flowers wake up to the call

Of river birds; flying in search of new meadows

Across golden valleys and forest plains.

You bring the first rays of light and hope.

I found you in storm and rain

In waves of extreme sorrow and pain.

When the winter evening frosts,

The heron flaps wings and chills to the bone

And kids wrapped in shawls watch Disney,

In a tidy apartment in Chester.

You bear the fruits from thistles and thorns.

I found you in wit and humour

In scenes of English comedy of manner.

When Juliet slips and falls on stage,

Romeo knows that the earth has fallen

And soon she would send him packing.

Things happen when you are in love.

And even Shakespeare didn't know it.
