The amount of new people in Peer Review is admirable and there's definitely some good stuff going on in there. Peer Review is always needing new people, we can't get enough of them... ever! If you've just joined the site and are looking for something to do then clicking on Peer Review is a good start. Have a look around, make sure you read the Writing-Guidelines and then get
reviewing!

Your Peer Review Needs You!

It's not hard, you don't have to be hot on spelling and grammar, or know
quantum physics. If you think that Peer Review is only for scouts and
professionals, or you've recently joined us, then take a look at Reviewer Stage-Fright

The following list will hopefully get you started looking at entries in
Peer Review. If you're an author and your
entry isn't in this list then don't despair, you are very welcome to
advertise it at the bottom of this page, or reviewers can always find it
on the main Peer Review page.

  • A3968940 - Entries about bands are always very
welcome on h2g2, we love to know what people are listening to and what
makes each band so great. Having performed with the White Stripes
and The Strokes, we are sure that The Yeah Yeah Yeahs will
tickle a lot of people's fancy. Peer

  • A3803302 - Well we always like to see unusual entries in Peer Review and this one is certainly that. Everyone has heard about the little old lady at the end of the street who has 56 cats, but did you know what's happening to them!? Peer Review Thread

  • A3979263 - Currently very short, this entry deals
with a problem that many of us find ourselves having. If you find that
your mailbox is full of these sorts of things and can share your experiences, recommend solutions, or even just want to be sure there are
other people who suffer then this is the entry for you. Peer Review Thread

  • A1114660 - This entry discusses the wonders of the
Minox camera and its inventor, Walter Zapp -- considered to be one of the greatest pioneers of photography, or so 'tis said. His cameras are the ones used in spy films. Peer Review Thread.

  • A3966951 - We are sure that there are some budding
martial artists out there, or people who like to pretend secretly that
they can save the day with a well-placed kick. This entry deals with a
form that uses the shins, elbows, in fact most parts of your body! Peer Review Thread

  • A3993645 - This very new entry takes a look at a
festival our Finnish researchers are probably very familar with. Whether
you can share your experiences, or have no clue what it is and fancy
finding out, this entry can use your help. Peer Review Thread

  • A3973502 - Are you frequently to be found banging
your head around at gigs? Or did you spent a troublesome youth suffering
from whiplash as a result of your dancing? Whether you are a current or
past mosher this entry is open to your expert experiences. Or you may have no clue what a mosher is, if so you definitely need to read this! Peer Review Thread

Not sure what to say in Peer Review after you’ve read an entry? Here
are some ideas:

  • What do you like best about the entry? It's great for authors to get to
hear what really works, not just where the problems are!

  • Are there pieces of the entry that you don't understand? Let the author
    know!

  • Can you think of additional pieces of information that would help make the entry more complete? Share your knowledge!

  • Do you see any errors in the entry? Help make the entry as polished as
possible before it hits the Front Page!

If you're still stuck for ideas, try taking a look at what other
researchers have said in the thread.

Remember that reviewing isn't just for scouts. Everyone can do it and new reviewers are very welcome. Don't be afraid to point things out just
because you are new to reviewing, it's all important.

Hopefully this has given you a bit of a jump start, so get down to
Peer Review today and help build our Edited Guide
