I spent a fair bit of this week just browsing the fora of h2g2.

It's fun to do and I wish I could do it a bit more often. One thing I did notice in one forum was that there may be a bit of confusion over exactly what the Post is. I have to admit, sometimes it confuses me:-) But simple put, the Post is the h2g2 Community Newspaper. It's written by the h2g2 community for the h2g2 community. That's us. We all write it, and (hopefully) we all read it. The idea and structure of the Post was approved by the staff at the Guide towers, but it's not run by them. There are some differences in
the way the Post works from that of the Guide. We don't have an approved section for a start, we edit pieces sent into us I agree, but only really to format them in the style that the Post has adopted. But there are some similarities as well, the main one being that anyone and everyone can write articles. Each and everyone of us can write Guide entries, and each and everyone of us can write articles for the Post. And I can only encourage it, after all there's only so much that a handful of people can do on their own. So come one come all and write for the Post.

Also an apology to all of you who logged on late Sunday night to read this editon as it came up, it's late. Sorry. There were reasons for this, but I won't bore you with them.

One thing that is worth mentioning about this edition is that it hasn't had a final edit, there are probably a fair few mistakes in it, so if you see any then jot them down, and email me a list of what you find, you never know we may have a top ten table of who's found the most errors:-)

But, as Shazz would say... On with the Post!
