Time Marches On

An alarm clock with streamers draped on itIt's not (just) a bad pun. The advent of March reminds us that as winter turns to spring, we've been at this business of running h2g2 on our own for...oh, a few months now, and we're doing a pretty good job of it. Lunacy is on the rise in the UK, the planet is rushing towards chaos at an accelerated rate, and there's a new movie coming out about Nazis on the moon. What's that you say? None of that is our fault? Tell it to the marines.

Another reason your editor is thinking of time marching on is that he's turning 60 today. Wow. Where did the time go? Normally, I don't notice that sort of thing until one of you whippersnappers makes some crack about people who can remember black-and-white television sets. Old hippies, and all that...yeah, I hear you. Far out.

Okay, so we aren't responsible for all of the chaos in the universe. Just the stuff in our heads. Our contributors this week have got a lot of interesting Stuff, which is coming from their heads to yours via the medium of the Post. Relax, enjoy.

There's nothing you can do about chaos, anyway.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
