The H2G2 Philosophers GuildCould put something witty here, which would be the point... but I wont.
Trying to answer all those questions about life

From the Hallowed Halls of The H2G2 Philosophers Guild, we are proud to bring you,

in a one-off special edition, the philosophy of H2G2!!!

As you are probably aware everything passes through 3 phases, (usually referred to as the how, why, where phases). What we, at the Philosophers Guild, try to do is to investigate the validity of these phases through discussion and debate (when we can be bothered).
So, in this article we will discuss:

  • The fact that one mans books have influenced this many people

  • The unification of all the different races and religions on h2g2

  • How the above may be used in the real world

  1. It is our firm belief that if DNA had not written the series, then there would not be any h2g2 - but how could one man find such an idea?

The idea of why is one which has baffled many people throughout the ages and the answer to this great question can ultimately be found
    in his own books:
    Alcohol! (smiley - )

It was ultimately in a bedraggled drunken state that the idea for a hitchhikers guide was first produced.

It was this moment of drunken thought that brought this site together, that brought all us together, and ultimately brought me to write this article.

Therefore it can only be concluded through philosophy that what we have to thank for all of us being here now is that wonderful substance Alcohol.

Let us pay homage smiley -

  3. Now that we know what to thank, we must now consider what has become of it:

    As Anthea so rightly said:

'The reason that we all get on together
is that we are respectful to each others feelings.

    Those who are often insulting normally don't last long here;
we come here to discuss our ideas and to make new friends.

Race and gender or nationality don't come into the equation
after all we are all (most of us anyway) human.

This site would not be as good as it is or have as many members
if we were critical of everything and viewed people as stereotypes.'

So this site works because things that we are judged by IRL don't apply to h2g2... which brings us nicely onto...

  5. If this could be readily applied IRL then maybe there would be no need for conflict.

This idea needs special attention at this point due to recient world activites.

If a huge community can readily accept people regardless of background, maybe there is hope left.
