Quid novum est?

That, as you may perhaps have guessed, was my potted Latin for "what's new?" Normal children are going on holidays and sleeping and playing video games and relaxing and that sort of thing. I am taking an intensive six-week course in Latin, and as I haven't finished my homework yet it's more or less all I can think of.

So, how's your summer going? I gather the UK's been having some decidedly odd weather; here in California it's more or less just been hot. But in any case, enjoy the summer! Go out, get some sunshine... all that good stuff.

I worry that if I say anything else I'll start talking in Latin. Et me credo, eo tempore nimis facile est! (And believe me, it's too easy right now!) So. Enjoy July (whatever the weather) and enjoy this week's edition of The Post.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
